ACT SES WOW DAY

Wednesday the 17 May we celebrate WOW Day.

This is an opportunity for the ACT Community to say thanks to their generous ACT State Emergency Service (ACTSES) volunteers who respond to emergencies and disasters across the territory.

These trained volunteers are there for the community 24 hours a day 7 days a week.

The main function of the ACTSES is to undertake planning and responding to storm and floods.

Additionally

The ACTSES supports services within the Emergency Service Agency and ACT Policing to a wide range of incidents and emergencies.

The ACTSES encourages the ACT Community to be educated and resilient to emergencies by downloading ESA Survival Plan.

Let’s Light up Australia Orange.

Let’s Light up Australia Orange.

Key landmarks across Australia will light up orange in support and to say thankyou to the SES Volunteers including the Telstra Tower landmark within the ACT.
